I was really impressed with the quick email response. Even when the person I was talking to was asked a question obviously not for their department they handing over to someone instantly. Also lovely customer service from the lady I spoke with on the phone All in all great service.
Kind regards Daisy
I am absolutely delighted with the system thank you. It has made a tremendous difference, and the more I use it the more I can see how it will benefit in other situations.
Thanks again.
Massively impressed with the whole process; how quick and efficiently you provided the equipment, the equipment provided and how quickly you got myself booked in for installation/training.

I just wanted to leave some feedback on how the support has been third year. First off I am so glad an very fortunate to have this incredible student support network in place. Its fantastic and eases stress and anxiety. I just wanted to say my support worker Jackie Hewitt is fantastic! One of the best support workers I have had. I couldn’t of been more blessed to have her as my mentor. She is always a massive help and an absolute credit to the team of mentors you have. My confidence and anxiety has massively improved. I can't wait for third year. I will look forward to the next year of mentoring until then all the best to use all on behalf of me.
Thank you very much.
Due to my disability I suffer from a lot of pain and fatigue. The training I received from Anthony Curran on how to use Dragon, Mindview, and Read and Write has been excellent. Learning how to use Dragon has really speeded me up because it used to be so painful and time-consuming to type things manually. I can listen to my textbooks when I am tired and have to lie down, with the Read and Write app. Anthony explained things very clearly and made sure I understood them before going on to the next point. The mind view will help me to be more organised and structured in my essay writing. He also made learning fun and seemed to sense when I was getting tired and asked if I needed a break. I consider myself very lucky to have had Anthony as my trainer because I have learnt so much from him.

The training had positive impact on me. I learned a lot of things that helped me with my degree at University. some examples of Mind View, Dragon, essay plan, citation, proof reading, how to use the recorder during lectures and many more. The training helped me with strategies on my essay assignment planning and writing, how to plan my dissertation assignment, it was very helpful for me. The instructor was very good with great knowledge and experience of teaching, l gained knowledge in computer writing during my course work although the period was very short but it was very good course, l enjoyed it and thank you very much for the lessons given to me I appreciate it.
Thanking you, Annie
I received training from Rebecca at Barry Bennett on the 'Read & Write', 'Sonocent Audio' and 'Inspiration' software programmes, all provided as part of my Disabled Students Allowance to help me study toward my PhD at Kings College London. I was really happy that I was able to do the training online, and this turned out to be just as smooth and convenient as I hoped it would be. Rebecca was always on time, always enthusiastic and happy, and was careful to ensure that she went through the software at my own pace. When there were elements of the programme I was particularly interested in, she covered these in additional detail, and her explanations were always clear and easy to follow. She helped me to get the very best out of each software programme, and I am very grateful to her!

Lee taught me how to use Sonocent Audio Notetaker during the training today, and I found it to be really helpful. I now know how the software can be used, and how I can utilize it to aid me in my studies, particularly in my lectures. I always have issues in typing/writing notes during lectures and am never able to keep up, but todays training and software-guide can help me overcome this! Lee went through everything in a very clear and easy-to-understand manner, and really broke it down for me- wouldn't have got this from anywhere else really.
Really useful. Thank you!
Tracy has a holistic, practical and supportive approach and this has resulted in me learning some important skills from her. Crucially she suggested I got tested for visual stress and this outcome has been life changing. I appreciate her overall interest very much indeed. She also taught me ways of remembering numbers which has also helped a lot even with things like passwords and my student number. She has sorted out practical things like that my equipment had not been properly set up. She just got on with it, demonstrating her practical, problem solving approach. I appreciate her help very much and it has helped me a lot.

I would like to say that the training I received from Tracey was excellent. Tracey trained me on all of the equipment allocated to my needs and taught me how to use this technology with great sensitivity and expertise. This has been an invaluable experience because my disabilities deprived me of learning and this support has given me the confidence to make use of the tools and strategies that have supported me throughout my course.

The Experience with Barry Bennett Ltd has been an absolute pleasure. The thought of university with a disability is tough enough, and until my assessment I had no idea of the help and technology that Barry Bennett had to offer. The laptop I have received due to my disability, well I am beyond impressed. The training I have received for the programmes I was given, again has been superb. I would 100% recommend these services to any student with a disability who may be apprehensive to apply because of the team and engineers at Barry Bennett I can now go to university knowing my laptop is fully insured with all the programmes I need personally for my studies.
I cannot thank you all enough.

Dear Barry Bennett,
I am just emailing to thank you for the excellent customer service that I have received. Upon having an issue with my DSA supplied printer, I got in contact with your technical support who were able to sort out getting a replacement printer within 2 days of the issue. The lady who aided me was extremely understanding and was very helpful. I thought I would email just to say thank you!
Ellie
We had a technical issue following receipt of software and hardware from Barry Bennett. The technical team were really knowledgeable, polite and happy to help. We had to get in contact with the management team who were really helpful and compassionate, and responded quickly and effectively with our issue. We are up and running again and can’t thank the team enough for all they have done. Would highly recommend Barry Bennett.

Also wanted to give positive feedback from my delivery yesterday. The person who delivered my ergonomic equipment yesterday was excellent - he was so helpful and very knowledgeable as well as explained everything to me in a friendly and helpful manner. His safety and respect with regards to precautions i.e. gloves mask 2 metre etc was perfect and i felt at ease (i was a bit apprehensive beforehand) I just wanted to show my appreciation and to let his manager or company know because at these troubled times it was reassuring and pleasant to feel comfortable.
Just wanted to thank you the ‘Barry Bennett’ team.
I have received my new laptop this morning. After having some issues with my old device. I would just like to say this has been a quick turn around. But equally I have been kept informed and explained the process as it’s gone along. The pressure has been taken of myself while your team has sorted or tried to help me along the way. I have spoken to several people when calling, but each have had an appropriate manner with me and caring one at that. Some one who isn’t great with ict (myself), you explained what to do and how to do things in a manner which I was able to understand and not feel silly about. I just wanted to say thank you and keep up the hard work, it does make a difference.
Kind regards
Katie
I don't know what I'd have done without Josh's support over the weeks leading up to exams. Josh's support is what has enabled me to not only get through the exams, but get through them with confidence.
When I first met with Josh, I had a seemingly insurmountable task ahead with only a few weeks to prepare for the postgraduate exams. Somehow, speaking through the revision plan with Josh enabled me to make a manageable plan which I even completed ahead of schedule.
I was quite scattergun during our initial meetings, a bit here there and everywhere, yet nothing phased Josh and he cut right to the chase. He was able to identify the issues and work with me to reach a solution, and fast.
Josh went out of his way to provide constructive feedback which helped during my prep. This specific feedback was very well thought through and tailored to my specific needs. I also asked Josh to assist with exam prep by playing the role of client for my client interview. With very little time to prepare each time, Josh quickly adapted to each client brief, stepping in the shoes of a real client (it amazed me how well he remembered all the specific details - I think that says a lot about his overall advanced skill level).
Frankly, I believe that an angel disguised as Josh was sent to help me.
Also, Josh never indicated this, but I do believe that the time Josh spent for our meetings was over and above what was allocated during our support hours (due to the level of help needed), so I hope that this gets recognised somehow - and particularly going forwards, that the right - realistic - amount of help is allocated to students.
If there is a study support adviser of the year award, Josh better get it!
